We know we shouldn’t sin. We try, but nothing works! We all know someone who just can’t stop a particular sin. It is wrecking their life, their family and their job. It tears us up inside to watch. Sometimes “someone” is my spouse, or my child—or me. We ask, “Why is there no victory? Why won’t God just make this go away?” We won’t be perfect until heaven, of course, but that’s no excuse. The way out of this frustration and failure is directly, clearly, and simply taught in the Bible. Ephesians will show us how to stop using half of God’s truth as if it were all of God’s truth—and that can set us free.
